Position Summary:
The Junior Quality Control Assistant is responsible for the day to day tasks of the Quality Control Department.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Assist Quality Control Technician(s) and the rest of the department in ensuring GMP, ISO and Health Canada compliance throughout the facility
Verify accuracy of tools, gauges and other devices used for measurement within the process
Utilize company SOPs and receiving controls for all incoming products and supplies
Ensure raw materials meet QC specifications
Use of label controls such as, hold, rejected, release/approved stickers
Ensure compliance to required storage conditions for all materials
Chemical allocation and disposal
Support management of FIFO, stock replenishment and inventory accuracy
Preparation of material for shipment re: materials requiring irradiation (bottles, dropper assemblies)
In-process verifications throughout the manufacturing processes
Hands-on QC support to sanitation, cultivation, and processing as needed
Record collection, organization and data entry of data/information
Assist in audit preparation (internal and/or external) as required
Where applicable, must adhere to Cannaleif's SOPs and comply with The Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements
Other duties as required
Additional Responsibilities:
Where applicable, must adhere to Cannaleif’s SOPs and comply with The Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
Actively and proactively engage in the ongoing management and improvement of Cannaleif’s quality system.
Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
