I stumbled upon a nice method for germination which just plain nails it!
ReplyWhile growing shrooms in totes, @ 80-82 degrees it hit me. Perfect temp and RH for germination.
Start with 2 plastic totes [I use 8 gallon], Put 5" of water in first tote, fasten an aquarium heater set to 81 degrees on the bottom. Next set the second tote in the first, put in seeds, cover with lid and a towel. Bingo, just wait and watch. Easy and very consistent.
I use paper towels moistened, put seeds 1 inch apart on first towel, cover with second towel. Place between 2 foam plates or similar and set into chamber. This never fails me...
